ABOUT THE POLICE PROTECTIVE FUND

WHO WE ARE

Police Protective Fund is a non profit, public awareness organization dedicated to enhancing public safety through education.

OUR LEADERSHIP

Police Protective Fund was established in 1998 by the leadership of the American Association of Police Officers, to enhance the public’s understanding of law enforcer safety issues. Guided by police officers and distinguished citizens, the organization is dedicated to strengthening the “Safety Net” over which a law enforcement officer must perform their profession’s perilous duties.

WHERE WE ARE
While our headquarters are in Los Angeles, California, the Police Protective Fund’s educational programming and services reach across the country. Our extended family includes the more than 42,000 law enforcers enrolled in the Police Protective Fund’s Officer-Down Crisis Response program, as well as the thousands of law enforcement professional and citizens who request or utilize our educational materials and resources each year.

Spread across the county, these thousands of citizens and law enforcers represent a vast educational community PPF reaches throughout the year.

PROGRAMMING

PROCEED WITH CAUTION is the centerpiece of PPF’s public awareness efforts. The program addresses an issue of grave concern to public safety officials and one in which an “aware public” can make a profound difference. To date, the program has reached millions of Americans with an urgent appeal to the nation’s drivers that is vital to the safety of law enforcers: “PROCEED WITH CAUTION” - POLICE AT WORK!

Police Protective Fund also provides authoritative and engaging educational resources to the men and women who protect and defend our communities.

“Terrorism: A Law Enforcer’s Survival Guide” CD rom was requested by over 2,300 departments and training centers nationwide! The course is now available online.
