ACCOMPLISHMENTS

• Over the past ten years the Police Protective Fund has established key partnerships that are essential to the success of our public awareness programming; including the more than 40,000 enrolled public safety officers, over a million families receive our direct mail information each year — not to mention the thousands who join us every month online at PoliceUSA.com.

• Persuading some of country’s most experienced law enforcement officers to collaborate with our staff in the creation of its educational programming.

• Reached millions of Americans with an urgent appeal vital to the safety of law enforcers: “PROCEED WITH CAUTION” - POLICE AT WORK!

• The enthusiastic reception of our “Terrorism: A Law Enforcer’s Survival Guide” CD rom — requested by over 2,300 departments and training centers nationwide! The course is now available online.

• Extending a $10,000 Line-of-Duty Death Benefit, and the peace of mind that comes with it, to well over 43,000 enrolled officers nationwide. Then, never turning down a claim.

• Working with some of America’s most knowledgeable law enforcement veterans, we have created a wide range of authoritative and engaging educational resources — including publications, videos, CD ROMs, leadership conferences , internet training at ONLINEPOLICEACADEMY.com and our portal site, PoliceUSA.com. Additionally, the Police Protective Fund provides assistance to organizations and programs that share its public safety goals.

• Our “Officer-Down Crisis Response” seminars have inspired law enforcement leaders nationwide to adopt new, more consistent professional standards in conducting line-ofduty funerals. For the hundreds who attended the seminars over the past 2 years or who have received the “Planning for the Unthinkable” CD rom, these ideas are now an intrinsic part of their department’s protocol.

• With “Proceed with Caution”, PPF has put enormous resources into providing the “Safety Net” with a public awareness strategy aimed at reducing the growing number of public safety officers killed each year by careless motorists.

• “Terrorism: A Law Enforcer’s Survival Guide CD rom” was PPF’s opportunity to extend the “Safety Net” so far as to reach hundreds of small one or two man departments that had not yet received WMD training despite post-9/11 efforts. Many of our efforts are in partnership with some of America’s most experienced law enforcement veterans. Working together we have created a wide range of authoritative and engaging educational resources — including publications, videos, CD roms, leadership conferences and internet training our portal site,
